You must be 16 years of age at the time of the Festival to be considered for a voluntary position. Please be aware we have limited spots for those under the age of 18.

All Volunteers 18 years and over will be issued with a Season + Camping ticketing to the Festival in return for their 20 hours work (there is no longer a need to advise us of your intention to camp).

If you are under the age of 18 at the time of the Festival, please download a Youth Consent Form and have it signed by a parent or guardian and returned to the National Folk Festival no later than Friday, 9 March 2012. Those under the age of 18 who intend to camp must indicate this on their Youth Consent Form and must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Qualifications

We are always on the lookout for qualified and experienced Volunteers - and in some cases this is now a requirement for some of our teams (see below).

Please indicate if you currently hold any of the following Certificates, Licences or Qualifications:

Details of other qualifications:

Please note that due to changes in Legislation, some of our teams now require the work to be carried out by qualified persons. These include our Bars team (RSA) and anyone undertaking construction work in our Set Up and Pack Down team (White Card). If you wish to work on either of teams and do not hold the relevant qualifications, would you be willing to undertake this training if the National Folk Festival were to provide it?

Do you have any special requirements or comments regarding your application to Volunteer?

I have read and agree to abide by the National Folk Festival Code of Conduct and to complete the required rostered hours during the Festival (this may not include training hours in the lead up to the Festival). In exchange I am entitled to receive a Season + Camping pass to the Festival and access to volunteer facilities such as the Volunteer Centre and Volunteer Party.

I understand that if I'm under the age of 18 and intend to camp I must indicate this on my Youth Consent Form and must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times. If I do not indicate my intention to camp on this form I will be allocated a Season ticket only.

I understand that if I do not fulfill my part of the agreement (eg collect my pass but do not turn up to work my allocated shifts) I will be invoiced for a gate price Season + Camping ticket. I understand that if I breach the Code of Conduct I may be dismissed for misconduct, escorted from the site, and have future volunteer applications declined. In the event of an accident, misadventure or illness I will contact the Festival as early as possible so that a replacement can be found.
